About Me

IMG_1094

Hi! I’m Joanna.

Over the past few years my interest in the environment and in living an eco-friendly life has been growing, and I’ve finally decided to take the plunge and start blogging about my journey towards a greener life.

I’m trying to do this in a mindful and economic way, exploring a different way to go green each week within my current means. I want to start thinking more about where the products I buy come from, what they’re made from, where the leftover rubbish (especially plastic) goes when I’m finished with it, and which products are therefore best for me to buy. This is about reducing the amount of waste I produce, but also buying products that have a less harmful impact on the environment.

I hope that by blogging about my attempts you will feel more able to start making some small changes in your own life to help to make the world a better place. I have an IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management (Distinction), but I am not an expert on any of the topics I write about by any means. I don’t think I need to be to make a difference – and neither do you!

Visit my Pinterest page for other ideas and tips on going green (in addition to pins on recipes, craft projects and other things).

Good luck with going green and feel free to share your thoughts!

  2. Joanna, thank you for following me at Triggershorse. The older I get the more deeply I realize the responsibility we each have towards greening our world. Well done! – Fawn

    • No problem, thank you for following me too. Always great to know that there are others out there who feel the same about going green!

  3. Hi Joanna, thankyou for recently following my newly fledged blog! I am pleased to finally be reaching an ‘audience’, and hope that with people like us we can help make a change to the way we live, and thus reduce our impact on the environment. I was chuffed to see that your blog echoes my sentiments also, and feel I have found a fellow green blogger. Many thanks for a lovely blog site, and I look forward to seeing your new posts as they arrive in my reader!

    • Hi! That’s okay, I love finding new green blogs to follow as we all take different approaches and it’s great to hear about what others are doing. I’ve enjoyed your posts on plastic as plastic is such a source of concern to me and I’m always looking for ways to reduce it from my life.
Thank you for following my blog too! I’m looking forward to reading more from you 🙂

    • Anne, thank you so much! This has absolutely made my day. I am so flattered and pleased that you have nominated me for this! 🙂 I will write a proper response soon xx

      • Anytime Joanna, anytime 😉 what your doing is too important not to share, you know, and I’m not kidding, you make me want to change my ways and have already inspired me to make some changes… 🙂

    • Thank you. I don’t really accept awards any more as I don’t have time to blog much, let alone respond to nominations, but I really appreciate the sentiment 🙂

    • Thank you very much! I’m hoping to continue but not at the moment. I ran out of ideas and got a bit caught up in other things but might come back with a slightly different focus one day 🙂
